Jack turned 6 on Sat, and I can't believe I am old enough to have a child this old...

How do you celebrate turning 6???

You invite some of your "best buddies" over for a sleepover....

Turn glow sticks into "light sabers" and FIGHT! play fight...

Act like GOOFBALLS...

Watch a movie, and eat popcorn, gummy worms and various other junk food....

You eat one of your favorite foods: Pizza, while being spastic with your friends...

Open presents...peg board, "flart" putty, cool ds game and a very cool safe to store all of your special stuff in...

Eat cupcakes with you favorite ice cream...MINT.

Go to bed so excited to be with all your friends and wake up happy that they are STILL there...

Eat the breakfast of champions; Bacon, Green eggs and OJ...yummy!

I really feel so blessed that Jack has THE sweetest, most polite, funny, nice group of friends...Thanks Michael, Dallin and Luke for making my boys birthday the best!

"wickity whack"

Despite all of our best efforts my child has come into his own and formed his own opinions; Nothing against all the devoted fans of hip hop and rap and basically teen pop music. Now don't get me wrong I used to listen to that music ALL the time, but I grew up and so my music tastes changed...now I enjoy me some occasional "hippity hoppity" music as we call it in our house, but it's not the first thing that I choose most of the time...basically I like it, it is just not the apex of my music choices...blah blah.
Anyways, I have been noticing the evolution of this transformation with Jack; He used to love him some Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Wilco, or Band of Horses...now he wants Kanye West, Chris Brown, and anything he can get his groove on to without much depth...so here's to you son..it was bound to happen, it's a normal progression, just come back to the other side soon.

BTW: totally love Beyonce's "Single Ladies", OK! and all of the songs on the play list....see I'm not judging.

I must have missed the MEMO: girls do not wear blue...right? Because if they do they aren't girls but boys...

I know Lucy, it's OK...you are still the most beautiful girl. don't cry...next time leave you hair clip in then NO One can mistake you for a boy...OK?

seriously...who could mistake that for anything but adorable...she did say "he" was beautiful...I agree.

Welcome 2009! I am so excited to have a new fresh start to another year...
a lot can happen in a year which I discovered last year...
But it can also be for the better...
So here's to new beginnings, fresh starts, clean slates and to losing more baby weight...ha that rhymed....
